Massage Boosts Immune Functioning

New research shows that back massage therapy promotes psychological relaxation and an increase in salivary chromogranin A release.  Chromogranin A has antibacterial and antifungal activity, this may account for the immune benefits seen in patients who have regular massage therapy.
